Anton Pieck was a Dutch artist, born on April 19, 1895, in Den Helder, and passed away on November 24, 1987, in Overveen. He is primarily known for his contributions to Dutch art and culture, particularly in the realm of illustrations and graphic design.  Pieck was a versatile artist, but he was particularly renowned for his romantic and nostalgic drawing style, depicting Dutch countryside life and historical scenes. His works often had a fairy-tale and enchanting atmosphere, making them beloved by both children and adults.  He worked as an illustrator for various magazines and published numerous books featuring his drawings and illustrations. Additionally, Pieck was involved in the design of the famous amusement park, Efteling, where his unique creations contributed to the park's enchanting and timeless ambiance.
