This historical Liebig chromo series – Sanguinetti no. 952 – was issued in 1909 under the title La culture du coton. The six cards illustrate the stages of cotton production: preparing the soil in Africa, ploughing and sowing in India, harvesting in North America, cleaning the fibres, pressing them into bales, and shipping them on the Mississippi. Each card features the classic Liebig jar and vivid colours. This is the Belgian edition with blue backprint “Véritable Extrait de Viande Liebig – Bouillon OXO de la Comp. Liebig”.
