This original Liebig trade card series consists of six colourful illustrations presenting different weather phenomena in an imaginative and decorative style.

Each card features small winged figures symbolising the forces of nature, while scenes below depict people reacting to changing weather conditions.

The series includes six subjects:

  1. Lightning (Der Blitz): a thunderstorm with lightning striking above a town as people seek shelter.

  2. Snow (Der Schnee): a winter town scene with falling snow and warmly dressed pedestrians.

  3. Hail (Der Hagel): a heavy hailstorm catches people by surprise in the street.

  4. Storm (Der Sturm): strong gusts of wind cause confusion in a busy town street.

  5. Rain (Der Regen): pedestrians walk beneath umbrellas through a rainy town.

  6. Sunshine (Die Sonne): a sunny landscape where people enjoy the pleasant weather.

The charming illustrations reflect the decorative and storytelling traditions of historic Liebig advertising cards.

An attractive series for collectors of Liebig trade cards, vintage advertising, allegorical illustrations and weather-related subjects.
